Public assistance with funeral costs
Under certain conditions, persons responsible for a funeral may apply for assistance with necessary funeral costs under Section 74 of the German Social Code XII if bearing the costs is unreasonable.
Individual assessment
The responsible social assistance authority decides whether and to what extent costs are covered after assessing the individual circumstances.
