Handwritten will in Germany
For a private handwritten will in Germany, the declaration must generally be written entirely by hand and signed personally. The place and date should also be stated.
A printed template should therefore not simply be signed if it is intended to serve as a handwritten will.
Typed or printed wills
A document merely typed on a computer and signed generally does not meet the requirements of a handwritten will. A non-handwritten will can instead be made as a public will before a notary.
